Ariel Brínguez has performed with world-renowned artists such as Chucho Valdés, Larry Willis, Simply Red, Niña Pastori, Ketama, Omara Portuondo, Miguel Zenón, and Marcus Miller, among many others. He has presented his own projects at some of the most prestigious jazz festivals, including the Voll-Damm Barcelona Jazz Festival, Madrid International Jazz Festival, Vitoria-Gasteiz Jazz Festival, Marciac Jazz Festival in France, Yoshi’s Club in California, and Blue Note in Milan. Ariel has participated in two Grammy Award–winning albums — with Chucho Valdés on Tributo a Irakere and with Alejandro Sanz on El tren de los momentos. He also collaborated with Iván “Melón” Lewis on Voyager, winner of the Latin Grammy for Best Jazz Album. -

Pianist, composer, and music producer Iván “Melon” Lewis is regarded as one of the most influential musicians of his generation. Throughout his career, he has performed at major jazz festivals around the world, sharing the stage with legends such as Bebo and Chucho Valdés, Mulgrew Miller, Bill Mobley, John Hicks, and Wynton Marsalis, among others. After an extensive career recording with other artists, “Melon” has released six albums under his own name: Travesía, Ayer y Hoy, Iván Melon Lewis Quartet, The Cuban Swing Express, Voyager, and Bembé. He has received five Latin GRAMMY® nominations and won the Latin GRAMMY® for Best Latin Jazz Album in 2021 for Voyager.
