CUBAN SWING EXPRESS
It is the musician's most ambitious project. An ensemble comprising 10 of the best and most talented Cuban musicians based in Europe, they made their debut at the L’Alhambra Theatre in Paris in December 2014, championing a sound that is both traditional and bold. Compositions by Pérez Prado, Benny Moré, Ernesto Lecuona, Herbie Hancock, the Rolling Stones, and “Melon” himself feature in their repertoire. The Cuban Swing Express draws on the sonority of that era while incorporating sound elements of our own time, achieving a fresh and fun musical blend.
