Pianist, composer, and music producer Iv\u00e1n “Melon” Lewis is considered one of the most influential musicians of his generation. Throughout his career, he has performed at major jazz festivals worldwide, sharing the stage with legends such as Bebo and Chucho Vald\u00e9s, Mulgrew Miller, Bill Mobley, John Hicks, and Wynton Marsalis, among others. Following an extensive career recording with other artists, “Melon” has released six albums: “Traves\u00eda,” “Ayer y hoy,” “Ivan Melon Lewis Quartet,” “The Cuban Swing Express,” “Voyager,” and “Bemb\u00e9.” He has received five Latin GRAMMY nominations and won the Latin GRAMMY\u00ae for Best Latin Jazz Album in 2021 for “Voyager.” In 2025, he was nominated for two Latin GRAMMYs\u00ae: Best Latin Jazz Album for “Luces y sombras” and Best Instrumental Album for “Alma en Cuba.”<\/span><\/p>\n
